"I can't handle it"...

So I had to share this video because it mostly makes me laugh, but cry as well.  

This is when the kids found out we really were going to Disneyland and not Las Vegas.

Glad I opened my eyes...

For so long my eyes were closed.  My ears as well.  I chose to close them.  Nobody closed them for me.  I did it.  Made that desicion for myself.  Impressive, I know!  sheesh.... who am I kidding?!

This weekend and for the past 3 years, my eyes, ears, senses... everything....are open.  I also made that decision for myself. (smile)

Ok, so now I am going to be honest.  This october LDS conference is the FIRST time I have ever at down and listened to the talks the ENTIRE TIME!  Guilty!  I have NEVER done that.  I have always done what I wanted too.  I could listen later right?!  When I said that I was closed off not too long ago, I was. Conference weekend was a day off!  I could do whatever I wanted!  I didn't have to go to church and I knew the talks would be written down and I could seek them when I wanted.  I seldom did...  Because when my senses were closed, they were closed for a reason.  I didn't want to hear certain things.  Especially the things that I perhaps was doing wrong.  Denial is a great place to be..... ugh.

Why do I tell you this?!  Because this weekend I was touched.  My soul was opened even further.  This specific Conference gave me hope, peace, clarity and a feeling of love from my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.  I already have a testimony of the Gospel.  But now I have a testimony of conference and the inspiration that it can give. A little anxiety plus 5 days of bliss...

Our Disneyland vacation was a SUCCESS!  Not only was the trip amazing, but the suprise to the kids was classic and we had a ton of adventures along the way.

As I mention in an earilier post, we didn't tell the kids that we were going to Disneyland, let alone leaving town. B and I picked them up from school on a Thursday afternoon. As they climbed into the car, they looked around and noticed that the car was ready to go somewhere. We promptly told them that we would be going to Las Vegas. THEY SCREAMED in excited! Haha! Little did they know....

  We pulled into St. George just in time to get the phone call from Goofy and Mickey letting them know that they were on their way to Disneyland! This video (although it is partial) shows exactly how our kids feel about the Happiest Place on Earth. OK, so the video won't post, so I'll figure it out later.

OUR LITTLE ANXIETY 30 MINUTE STOP

We then got stuck in an elevator at our hotel in Las Vegas for 30+ minutes. I have NEVER had that happen, and let's just say, I NEVER want it to happen again. They kids were scared to say the least, but we got out and moved onto bigger and better stuff!

Best part of all.... Not a line longer than 10 minutes long AND Halloween decor was up! Elggren bliss!

I CAN HARDLY CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!!!! WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND IN 8 DAYS!!!

 But the BEST part about my excitement..... my kids DON'T know!!!!  They think that we are not going back there for at least another year! 

Disneyland.com has a special offer that when you book through their website, you can schedule a phone call from some of your favorite characters and THEY can be the ones to break the news to the kiddos.  So, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy will be calling the kids the night before we leave!

The camera will be ready to get the kids faces when they find out!  Stay tuned AND DON'T SAY A WORD!

The men in my life...

My little man started Kindergarten and LOVES it!  I can't believe how big he is.  I love that he adores school and can't wait to get there to learn.  He came home the other day and told me that he wants to build airplanes when he gets older.  How convenient that Papa Tim does that too.

 My BIG man turned 38!  Hard to believe that when I met him,  he was only 27! 

The kids attacked out of a dead sleep at 6:50AM in the morning with silly string.  Needless to say... B looks tired!  Happy bday B!
