Endorphins...

I am just going to tell it like it is. I have gotten back into the habit of running.
My daily run consists of..

Dragging myself out of bed before the sun (summer months suck!), finding my clothes, socks and shoes. Eating 200 calories, putting a really sour piece of gum in my mouth, turning up my iphone to the desired playlist for that day. (Sometimes country, sometimes a mix. Today it started out with Tim McGraw. That always makes me happy!)

Then comes the hard part. Actually walking out the door. Seems easy, but there are days when I question my deciscion. Should I go back to bed? Everyone is asleep, I should be too! BUT, 9 3/4 of the time, I walk out the door. Rain, snow, sleet and sun. Have you noticed its been really mugging lately?! BLAH!

I then walk to corner and start my run.

I will say, no matter how hard I train, or how long I have been running... my first mile ALWAYS sucks! Everytime! I think it's my bodies way of trying to object! But I keep going, because usually by mile 2, I feel invinsable and I LOVE that feeling! The feeling of ENDORPHINS!

Whenever I am having a bad day, my cute husband says, "honey... have you gone running today?!" He knows the answer. I am a happier person when I run. It is my therapy. It is my escape. It renews my mind and clears all concerns.

And although it makes me tired, sweaty, smelly and sore, and there are times when I can't breathe, hack up a lung and my tongue occasionally will swell up in my mouth, oh ya and that sharp pain through the back of my neck, muscle spasms that just randomly happen and wanting to break down into tears because I don't think I can go another step. It makes me HAPPY! And endorphins make you happy so you won't shoot your husband!

Water...

Last night we went puddle jumping.  Or I guess I should say puddle swimming.
A beautiful thunderstorm passed over us last night. William said it smelled like it was time for pumpkins to start growing. I think he is right. It is August and that feeling is in the air. You know, the Fall air feeling. The one I look forward to always.  It could be Fall all year long and I would not be upset.  School will be starting soon and it will be time to get back to a routine.
Until then, we will play... in the water, where ever we can find it!

UP...

We had a really cool opportunity to go through the "UP" house in Herriman, UT.  A dear friend works for the builder and he called me yesterday and asked if I wanted to bring the kiddos. UMMMM.... YES!

LOVE the doorbell and custom door with the 3 locks.
 Perfect mailbox!

This house is being built for the Utah Parade of Homes and all I can say is, I WANT IT!  The inside is perhaps even more charming than the outside.  Unfortunatly, I was not allowed to take pictures of the inside except for the mantel with the darling picture of 'Paradise Falls'. But let's just say that the furniture is even from the movie, as is the darling mural in the babies room.
WHAT A PERFECT LITTLE HOME!

WE CAN'T WAIT...

Harry Potter comes out this week and these muggles are SOOOOOOOO excited!  So excited in fact that I will be seeing the movie 3 times in less than 38 hours!  Oh ya!
These picture were taken when we went to see Cars 2.  Who needs Cars 2 when you have Harry, Ron and Hermione?!  My kids are Harry Potter crazies!  They love the movies and can't wait for the new one!

Rain...

There is nothing better than a summer rain shower to get wet and play your heart out!

Stop the clock, just for a few...

Is it just me or does time travel faster as you get older?!
Is it really July?!  That means Christmas will be here in just 6 months and winter in about 3 1/2 months away. 2011 is half over and then we will do it all over again.  Sorry, just stating the facts.

I remember as child thinking I had time on my side.  I never thought I would make it to 12 years of age. Then came 16 and then 21. As a kid, 21 seemed ages away.  I really couldn't even fathom high school.  Big people did that.  I always remember wishing Christmas and my birthday would come faster and the summer would last longer.  The clock seemed like it would stop, while all I did was wait.  Waiting to get older and speed things up.

I  am now 34 and I can't seem to slow time down.  My kids are growing up in front of me!  My days seem to fly past and there is really nothing that I can do with it.  I only seem to have about 7 minutes a day to myself and I feel like a lot of times, I am just running around with my head cut off and saying, if only I had 'more time.'  More time to go on vacation, play with my kids, laugh and go on date nights with B, clean the house, go out with friends...  I could keep going, but you get the idea.  I want life to slow down just a bit.

Does anyone have an answer for this?!  Mother nature is just not slowing down, so I have to figure out a way to keep up with her!
